Had to hot foot it before the rains come a-pouring, but I'm happy to discover that the rumors are true: #TacoVengo grub is yummeh!❤ Woohaaaa!😁 All you Mexican food experts and purists keep your "authentic" arguments on the sideline - this simply hits the spot. Oh man - CHECK IT!

Today I checked out the new kid on the block, #EarthKitchen. It's one of the best looking restaurants I've seen in awhile, and man, their food is pretty good -- using locally sourced and organic ingredients if possible. A welcome addition to BGC! Can't wait to go back!

A simple (and beautiful!) salad of watermelon, arugula, kesong puti, edible flowers and pili nuts dressed in balsamic vinaigrette.

Hey, they got meat at #EarthKitchen too! This one took all of us by surprise at how tender and yummy it was: braised bacon, red cabbage and baby potatoes. I don't know what it is about these beef rib kebabs (served with tzatziki and Ifugao rice pilaf) - but it also won us over!

Happening now - the #Adobolympics at the #LSMat10 😁 11 teams of pros/house cooks/enthusiasts doing their take on our beloved adobo! Woohoo! Time to jones about!

This was fascinating too! Pork adobo and coconut wrapped in these lovely leaves with bits of kamias. I don't know anymore who made this - she was Bicolana - but is sure shows her pride for her hometown. Bicol represent!

Plating was not the strength here - and of course one shouldn't expect too much from someone who doesn't work in a kitchen - but man you could sure taste the love and care from this twice cooked beef adobo. The Winner! The #OrangeWhisk entry for "specialty adobo": pork belly adobo, smoked coconut cream and galangal. Really good - and it practically begs for rice! Go CHECK IT at their Aguirre branch in BF Homes.
